The college has been securing the maximum number of ranks since 1992. So far the College has secured 123 ranks till date

A student of our college was adjudged the 'Best Lady Advocate' in the National Level Moot Competition on Human Rights held at Kottayam. Our students have been adjudged winners at the State Level Moot Competition held at Saraswathi Law College, Chitradurga in April 2006.

The National Legal Literacy and Awareness programme was launched at Maratikyathana Halli village of Mysore Taluk and it was inaugurated by Hon'ble Supreme Court Justice Mr. S.P. Bharucha in 1998.

A seminar on 'Human Rights perspectives of women, tribals and refugees' was held on 10-11 November 2001. It was inaugurated by Justice J.S. Varma, Chairman, National Human Rights Commission and the valedictory address was given by Justice Shivaraj Patil, Hon'ble Judge, Supreme Court of India.

For the first time in Karnataka, five of our Graduated students were appointed as 'Law Clerk cum Research Assistant' to assist the High Court Judges.

Projects undertaken

A project on training the representatives of Local bodies on Environmental Laws.

In association with the British Council, Warwick University and NLSIU, Bangalore, a project on Human Rights outreach - programme, for tribal people has been undertaken. JSS Law College is one amongst the seven law colleges chosen all over India, by the British Council for the purpose.

The College has undertaken a project on 'Promoting extent ion services to the community through micro level planning' for a period of two years funded by National Council for Rural Institutes, Hyderabad.

A project proposal has been sent to National Commission for Women, New Delhi with an objective to monitor the proper implementation of all the legislation's enacted to protect the rights of Women so as to enable them to achieve equality in all spheres of life.
